This is a wonderful bar that I've been going to for years. This is a great bar to go watch a game or get crazy on the weekends. The food is good and the bartenders are awesome. I recommend visiting this bar to any tourist or local that has not yet enjoyed it! Go see Leahi and Juniper because they're serious babes.

Nice bar, and a good place for younger visitors to Santa Fe to go if you want to see a more youthful scene. We came to watch the Dodger/Phillies game and surprisingly found some other Dodger fans in the house. Nice atmosphere, and it was nice that they have so many side windows and doors that can open (these were closed as it got colder). Favorite moment was watching the little Boston Terrier in front of us turn around and give us sulky eyes... his owner was really cool about it. And what a good vibe for a place that lets a little guy like that come in! Looks like they have live music here some nights as the other Dodger fans turned out to be moving furniture and setting up for some sort of show later. It was a good night out here, even if the Dodgers ended up losing.

We bar hopped all over downtown Santa Fe and ended up here for the remainder of the evening. We paid $2.50 cover, as the bouncer just wanted people in there. He was cool. There was a live band and we just entered when they were on break. It's a long bar and it was full, meaning not that many open seats. But it wasn't 3 deep at the bar or anything. We were a group of four and my friend ordered two raspberry kamikazes and two margaritas from a man behind the bar wearing a blue t-shirt and he had a mustache. He made the kamikazes and placed them in front of where my friend was standing. She stepped away to say hi to a friend and when the bartender was done with the two margaritas she ordered, he didn't know where she was, he rolled his eyes and looked pissed. So I said she was with me... Man, chill out. My friend handed him the credit card and he asked if she wanted to start a tab. It was loud in there so she asked WHAT? And he rolled his eyes again and repeated himself. I'm sorry, Man, but you work in a bar - get used to having to yell at us intoxicated patrons. A friend of our friends bought us a round of drinks. Four margaritas and his special pinky drink... I'm sitting at the bar, am a damn good bartender, and I was watching this little girl make the drinks. She literally put in half a shot of tequila in each glass. The worst pour ever. My bf is also a bartender and saw this as well. We were astounded. Mmmm, straight margarita mix. Disgusting. Before she cashed us out, my bf asked her to put a little more in there and she said no, and that she'd have to charge us for it. SAY WHAT?!? Then the friend of a friend gave her a big tip and I yelled NOT to give her anything! She heard me. I don't think she deserved it. Horrible bartending job. If you're in New Mexico, you better know how to make a damn margarita. The live band was alright. I didn't get up and dance. There was a chick on the tiny dance floor (between the bar and the ramp to the bathroom) that was keeping me entertained though. She was fumbling all over the place, almost ended up behind the bar and almost took out a band member. I think she was drugs because she definitely wasn't drunk from the drinks in this place. I'd say 'ride' right past this place.

This place was great! Everyone I met here was super chill and down to earth, bartenders were cool and they played some killer classic rock both times I was there. I had the nachos supreme to eat, it was good. More importantly though it was just a great bar with cool locals to talk to. There's a young crowd here but if you're older its fine too.

The corner bar we have all craved since we first saw 'Cheers'. If I lived in Santa Fe I would be there alot. This Bar is popular with Locals of all walks of life and tourists. It's a warm unassuming place with great drinks, an assortment of specials and the food is simple but good. It's a must if you are looking to kick back and relax with friends or to make new friends.
(5)Gabriel G.
Always great food! Bartenders are awesome! Except for one! Hahaha. My favorite place to come and grab a drink and a good meal!
(5)Taylor L.
This is the first bar I've ever been to that actually has a Cheers atmosphere "where everybody knows your name." A great neighborhood bar with character. It's where the locals go. The owner and the bartenders are super nice and generous, the bar is well-stocked, and they have great unique recipes. I will always frequent here when I visit Santa Fe.

The music, the happy hour, the cheap bar food- awesome! We went early on a Friday (around 6) and wanted to try something casual but cool- this place fit the bill. It wasn't very crowded despite being right near the Plaza (technically on the Plaza, I guess) but still had a cool, friendly group of folks. I had a happy hour margarita that was probably the best $5 margarita I've had in a long time. I can't remember which burger I ordered but it was good- especially for under $10. The menu had a pretty good selection- what you'd expect from a neighborhood bar & grill but it also had some good New Mexican favorites. My dining partner had a green chile burrito that was really good and the green chile had a kick! While all the servers/bartenders were pleasant, we had to ask for everything two or three times whether it was water, napkins, a takeout box, the check, etc. I get that she was getting ready to end her shift but c'mon... Overall, the place is decent and we will definitely be back! So glad to finally find a place like this in Santa Fe!

Music was great. Leahi at the bar gives great service. Engaging conversation. As prior review sead, really is like cheers.
(5)Shay B.
We stopped in for a quick drink and had a nice experience. Our server, Leahi, went over the top to brew fresh coffee and whip up some fresh whipped cream to make me a Keoki coffee drink. Mmmmm! We didn't have any food, but good beef and a great Keoki.
(5)Mike B.
We love this place! Tap beers are clean and fresh. The Reuben sandwich was awesome! Leahi was a great Bartender.
(5)Jennifer M.
First time and it won't be my last :) great bartenders and the food was perfect for a lunch time snack after walking around the Plaza.
(5)Katie P.
Despite the fact that there were maybe 20 people in the bar, the service was awful. It took our waitress about 20 minutes to pour my husband a beer and then she brought him the wrong one. The food was also nothing to write home about and the beer selection was ridiculously sad (PBR, Coors Light, Miller- really?). There is no reason to visit this bar when there are so many good restaurants in town.
(2)Kevin W.
Nice locals bar. Good food, better service, excellent value!
(4)Carl P.
I used to be really in to this place for the music scene...but the warm / flat beer, poor service and lack of patrons has killed it for me. I hope things change as EP was a trademark establishment of downtown especially when it came to the music scene. Or, much like so many other businesses these days, they just can't be bothered with customer service and will continue to do the bare minimum.
(2)Tracy A.
Omg the food was so great! I had the steak tacos & am getting them again! This place has a nice chill atmosphere & the staff are super friendly! Love this place!
(5)Mike S.
This was a great place. We came in for cheap drinks and cheap food. OK cheap drinks. They played great music. As time went on, we decided we like to eat. I am glad we did. They had one dollar tacos that were spectacular. We would come here again in a heartbeat.
(5)Damien A.
Ask anyone. I effing love this place. It's a downtown bar that doesn't charge outrageous prices because of location. It's small but cozy and all walks of life come through. I have never had a bad meal there. From the Smokey Club to the nachos, it is all delicious!! Dollar tacos everyday. Everday. I work at a hotel and send people often. They always tell me how much they enjoyed the food and the staff!! Leahi, Casey, Dario, Chris, Sarah and Mario are the best bar staff in town!! Treat them with respect and your gold!! If your looking for good food, conversation and great pours this is your place!!!! P.S. They deliver downtown from 11:30 to 2:00 on the weekday!!!!
(5)Samuel C.
Nice place to go get a drink. Would not recommend the food because the kitchen is just too close to the restrooms.
(4)Ricky M.
Cool little hole in the wall bar with a cool vibe. Its definently where the locals go since everyone seems to know everyone over there. But staff is friendly, drinks are weak but priced well, overall not a bad place to hang out.
(4)Susie E.
My watering hole. Love the music, love the drinks, love the service, love the staff! My boyfriend lives on the dollar tacos here when I go out of town.
(5)Keira M.
They were out of almost everything we ordered, drink-wise! Weird!
(2)Heather E.
This place was great. It was my friend & I's second night in Santa Fe and we were looking for a cheap, non touristy place to eat and get drinks. This was it!

I used to LOVE LOVE LOVE this bar, but i feel that i've been taken advantage of too many times now and i would like to share my story. Long story short, i had been a regular here for a long enough time to begin work on a little collaborative project with the bartenders. One approached me and asked if i would be willing to advertise the bar to my classmates in exchange for a student discount on drinks one night of the week with proof of enrollment in a santa fe college. Not once, but twice did i hold up my end of the bargain and was turned away, also humiliated in front of all of my friends. The first time i tried to arrange this deal, i wasn't as careful as i probably should have been, but the second time i attempted to enact this special, i took every precaution necessary. Not only did i work out specifics with the bartender that was to work the night of the proposed special, but we exchanged numbers, she put me in contact with the bar owner/manager and came up with a specific offer for students to take place every monday beginning on March 28th. You may notice that at 10 pm, I'm at home typing this review instead of enjoying my discounted beverage. In defense of the bartender with whom i had been working, she herself was out sick, and the buck was passed onto other people in the bar staff. But, to my defense, before i once again put my reputation on the line and falsely advertised non-existent drink specials, i called the bar at 6 pm to confirm that students over 21 with a valid student ID would be offered a discounted drink, and was told not only that it was still on, but specifically which drink would be on special...gin drinks of any sort. When my friends and i arrived, we were told that the bar owner forbade the bartender from giving any student any discount. "But i've been communicating with him about this for a while, and i called today to confirm." The bar was virtually empty when we walked in, and only by virtue of holding my end of the bargain did el paseo receive any business on a monday night. "when i called, the bartender who answered said that she would tell the bar staff to honor the special, and to go ahead and advertise a gin discount. If you don't hold up your end of the bargain, i have to go personally apologize to all of my friends who came out tonight, and it's not fair to me since i did everything i was expected to do." "i don't know how many times i can i'm sorry to you, but you're not getting any drink special..." "This whole circumstance makes me out to be a liar and an asshole, when that is not the case at all..." "hmm...that sounds like a personal problem." FUCK THIS BAR, FOR GOOD
(1)Tom M.
This bar rocks, with a good blend of Santa Fe Old Schoolers and other assorted hotties and interesting people. The staff at El Paseo is among the friendliest and most service-oriented in Santa. I think every night is good there.
